choosing a path
by:

Maybe it's both.. maybe I'm trying to fill a void I thought/wished I could fill otherwise, or maybe I never let myself see it until now bc I was content with dreaming. Am I being fair? hell no... but I don't know what else to do. U think that u can prevail over all obstacles to get what u want, but most humans aren't strong enough, or their heart is too strong and they don't know when to let go. My mother always told me, take the harder route when given the choice b/w two. I can't tell which is the harder route tho... to let go or to fight for it? Which one will result in the most happiness and least pain? If the choice is to let go, then the upset will not come in dissapointing expectations but in closing the door on something that could've been amazing. The reward is the possibility to find someone else, some other happiness that u never let urself consider before. If the choice is to try and fight for it, then the pain does not come when ur forced to contemplate "what if...?" but when u realize that it is not working and u might not only lose the glory but what u began with as well. The incentive is that miracles sometimes do happen and that is a gamble humans stubbornly like to take. Two paths that can be taken, which one is the tougher? *remember we're young, this is not the end of our lives nor the beginnings, just a transition, an "and" in a sentence, a question before an answer...*
